The Sr Manager, Rural Markets at T-Mobile is tasked with profitable share taking in Small Market Rural Areas (SMRA). This multi-unit leader role involves leading and supporting a team of Retail Store Managers to drive customer penetration and market growth at an accelerated pace. The Sr Manager acts as a change agent, collaborating with leaders across multiple channels to increase market share and strengthen the T-Mobile brand presence in rural markets. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining a robust team, conducting market and store visits, and ensuring operational excellence through regular audits. Frequent travel is required to effectively manage and support the widespread rural market territories, embodying a leadership style that inspires and promotes team success.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Sets a strong pace to lead and support a team of Retail Store Managers to increase customer penetration and market growth. Strategic leadership across rural markets will be crucial in driving growth, enhancing profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. Prioritizes company-wide goals over individual market results, translating regional performance insights into enterprise-level strategies for scalability and sustained growth.
  • Acts like an owner of the business and collaborates cross-functionally with Field Engineering, Marketing, and Finance to evaluate coverage, resource investments, and new opportunities for expansion, aligning across multiple channels to increase market share and strengthen brand presence in rural markets.
  • Support the team in their development, training, mentoring, and tactical execution, driving leadership behaviors that will earn a place in our customers' hearts and support store success. Mentors and promotes high-performing Retail Store Managers who stretch thinking, ask bold questions, and deliver elevated performance outcomes while building and maintaining a culture of success and continuous improvement that represents T-Mobile values.   • Ensure that the retail stores are staffed and trained to the approved levels to meet customer traffic demands, leading to increased conversion rates. This requires skills in recruiting, selection, hiring, training, and working in a leadership and development capacity for the ongoing growth of your market.
  • Travel frequently to conduct market surveys and operational audits within supported SMRA stores, simplifying operations by reducing complexity and removing barriers, which allows teams to focus on our customers and revenue-driving outcomes. Ensures operational excellence through regular audits and compliance checks.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree Degree in business or related study or 4-7 years of equivalent work experience (Preferred)
