PayPal, Inc. seeks Sr Manager, Enterprise Systems in Austin, TX
Job Duties: Develop and execute strategic transformation programs and initiatives, including AI automation and intelligent solutions, strategic engineering architecture design, resource allocation, and platform performance monitoring in collaboration with the Director of Finance Technologies. Lead, develop, and grow a high-performance, multi-function team to take the business forward and demonstrate superior leadership in line with the PayPal values. Build scalable software systems leveraging AI/ML technologies, lead technical discussions, participate in code reviews, and guide the team in engineering best practices. Write quality code and build secure, highly available software systems. Provide technical leadership and contribute to the definition, development, integration, testing, documentation, and support across multiple technical platforms (Full stack, PySpark, Cloud, GCP, SAP, AI/ML frameworks). Establish a consistent software development project management framework and development processes to deliver high-quality software applications, in rapid iterations, for business partners in multiple geographies. Drive AI automation initiatives to enhance platform efficiency, reduce operational overhead, and improve business processes through intelligent automation solutions. Manage a cross-functional team that designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks. Lead teams by providing appropriate direction and developmental feedback, conduct annual reviews, and participate in compensation decisions. Balance production platform stability, software feature delivery, retirement of technical debt, and implementation of AI-driven optimizations across a broad landscape of technologies. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field, plus six (6) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. Experience with Business Intelligence, reporting, data warehousing, data modeling, design & development of BI applications (4 years);
2. Experience designing and implementing large and complex software platforms across diverse environments (4 years);
3. Experience with the following program languages: PERL, Python, Core Java, and UNIX (4 years);
4. Experience with Data Mining (4 years);
5. Experience with Project Management (4 years);
6. Experience with Data modeling techniques to support complex OLAP & ODS reporting solutions (4 years);
7. Experience with Oracle (4 years);
8. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server (4 years).
Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications:
The base pay for this role will depend on where you work and the relevant experience and expertise you bring. The expected range of pay for this role by location is:
Primary Location | Pay Range:
Austin, TX | Salary: $217,568.00-273,500.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Additional compensation for this role may include an annual performance bonus, equity, or other incentive compensation, as applicable.
