Full Job Description
As Sr. Endpoint Engineer II, you'll manage and secure enterprise Windows and macOS environments supporting a high-visibility, mission-critical customer with the goal of making a real impact across the federal government. Our team is responsible for delivering reliable, secure, and compliant endpoint services in classified and high-security environments, and you'll play a critical role in ensuring operational stability, accelerating delivery, and strengthening the customer's ability to execute their mission through disciplined operations and immediate contribution within an Agile execution model.

What you'll do:
  • Work as part of a collaborative and high-performing team delivering technical solutions within the highest levels of the federal government
  • Manage endpoint imaging, patching, and vulnerability remediation across enterprise environments
  • Support and operate enterprise endpoint management tools and platforms
  • Resolve Tier 3 endpoint issues in support of a service desk and mission operations
  • Maintain secure, compliant Windows and macOS client environments
  • Participate actively in Agile execution and continuous improvement activities
  • Communicate technical issues, solutions, and risks clearly with stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence through technical expertise and reliability
  • Apply creativity and sound engineering judgment to deliver innovative solutions aligned to customer needs

What you'll need to succeed:
  • Active Top Secret clearance with previously held SCI, SCI eligibility, or a higher-level clearance.
  • DoD 8140 certification aligned to the 451 System Administrator work role, such as Security+, Cloud+, SSCP, CASP+, or CISSP.
  • Seven or more years of IT experience, with a primary focus on enterprise Windows endpoint engineering and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
  • Hands-on experience administering MECM at enterprise scale, including role-based administration, privileged-access management, and tiered T0-T3 access models.
  • Experience designing and maintaining MECM distribution points, boundary groups, content-distribution strategies, and related infrastructure.
  • Advanced experience creating and maintaining MECM task sequences that integrate operating systems, drivers, applications, software updates, and BIOS or firmware updates.
  • Experience with application packaging, deployment, patching, compliance enforcement, and software lifecycle management.
  • Experience using ACAS vulnerability findings to drive remediation through software updates, compliance baselines, configuration items, and other MECM capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of MECM site servers, hierarchy design, SQL databases, reporting services, and basic SQL queries and maintenance.
  • Experience providing Tier 3 support, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing durable engineering solutions.
  • Experience using JIRA or a comparable enterprise ticketing system to prioritize, track, and document engineering and remediation work.
  • Ability to contribute immediately in a mission-critical, high-visibility operational environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for education.

This position is designated as essential personnel supporting continuity of operations and may require work during government shutdowns, emergencies, or other critical situations.

SALARY RANGE: $147,000 - $193,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:
    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
