In this hybrid pre-sales role, you will sit at the center of our full-stack AI work platform evolution, partnering closely with Account Executives across our most strategic Top Accounts, Enterprise, and Emerging Enterprise segments. You will look at unsolved enterprise problems, invent novel AI-powered workflows, and turn those unique customer solutions into structured, repeatable sales motions that empower the broader field organization.

This role is based in our San Francisco, Chicago, or New York office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. If you're interviewing for this role, your recruiter will share more about the in-office requirements.

What you'll achieve
  • Partner closely with Account Executives across Top Accounts, Enterprise, and Emerging Enterprise to execute account strategies that expand ARR and maximize customer retention.
  • Own all pre-sales technical activities, including technical discovery, solution architecture, live demonstrations, and custom proof-of-concept builds.
  • Identify high-value enterprise use cases and design original, AI-first solutions that position Asana Intelligence as a critical, strategic layer for the enterprise.
  • Package your successful solution designs into structured, repeatable plays and demo assets to enable and scale the broader field engineering organization.
  • Navigate and influence complex enterprise organizations by translating deep technical AI capabilities into clear business value for C-suite sponsors, IT security gatekeepers, and PMO champions.
  • Lead responses to RFPs and security assessments, articulating Asana's technical differentiation and platform architecture with precision.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing teams to feed real-world client signals back into our product roadmap.

About you
  • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, pre-sales technical, or technical consulting role within a SaaS or enterprise technology environment.
  • Hands-on fluency with Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Amazon Nova), prompt engineering, and their practical application to enterprise software workflows.
  • Proven capability to architect custom technical solutions or wire together APIs, prompts, and platform logic on the fly to address ambiguous client pain points.
  • Strong familiarity with collaborative work management platforms and enterprise project/program management frameworks.
  • Skilled at multi-stakeholder navigation, with the communication clarity required to deliver a compelling narrative to a CIO, a PMO director, or an end-user administrator.
  • Experience supporting both greenfield new-logo pursuits and expansion motions within deep, established enterprise accounts.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical field experience).
