Job Description

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise integration solutions and services.
  • Build and maintain REST APIs, backend services, and system integrations connecting internal and external platforms.
  • Develop scalable solutions that enable secure data exchange and business process automation.
  • Create and enhance workflow automation capabilities to improve operational efficiency and user experience.
  • Contribute to application modernization initiatives, improving scalability, performance, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, product teams, and engineers to analyze requirements and deliver technical solutions.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC including technical design, coding, testing, implementation, and production support.
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Implement and support application security, compliance, and risk management requirements.
  • Perform code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and promote engineering best practices.


Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, and object-oriented software development principles.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server, relational database design, query optimization, and data integration.
  • Expertise in designing and developing REST APIs, web services, and backend integration solutions.
  • Experience building modern web applications using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive UI development practices.
  • Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, system-to-system integrations, and secure data exchange architectures.
  • Experience delivering workflow automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and business processes.
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, iterative development, and cross-functional team collaboration.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, source control management, automated testing, and release management practices.
  • Strong troubleshooting, production support, analytical, and problem-solving skills within complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native development, event-driven architecture, message queues, DevOps practices, application security, and AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code.


Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $105,400.00 - $124,000.00
