About the job you're considering

We are seeking a highly experienced Test Automation Architect to define and drive the enterprise-wide automation strategy for large-scale digital transformation and quality engineering programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, establishing automation governance, driving maturity assessments, integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, and partnering with client stakeholders to maximize quality outcomes, efficiency, and ROI. This role requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders while continuously introducing innovative automation solutions and best practices.

Your role

  • Define and execute the enterprise Test Automation Strategy, roadmap, and adoption plan aligned with client business objectives and quality engineering goals.
  • Architect, design, and govern scalable, reusable, and maintainable automation frameworks across UI, API, data, and end-to-end testing layers.
  • Conduct Automation Maturity Assessments, identify improvement opportunities, and develop transformation plans to accelerate automation adoption and effectiveness.
  • Provide oversight and governance for automation initiatives, including automation planning, design reviews, code quality standards, and implementation best practices.
  • Drive seamless integration of automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps ecosystems to enable continuous testing and rapid release cycles.
  • Define, track, and report automation KPIs, ROI metrics, productivity gains, test coverage, execution efficiency, and quality outcomes to leadership and clients.
  • Partner with client stakeholders, delivery teams, and engineering leaders to champion continuous improvement, evaluate emerging technologies, and introduce innovative automation solutions.


Your skills and experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation, including significant experience in automation architecture and transformation leadership roles.
  • Strong expertise designing enterprise-scale automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Tosca, Rest Assured, Karate, or similar technologies.
  • Proven experience implementing Continuous Testing within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, test data management, service virtualization, cloud-native testing, and modern quality engineering methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success in performing automation maturity assessments, developing automation business cases, and presenting automation ROI metrics to executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, consulting, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to influence client executives and drive enterprise-wide automation transformation initiatives.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $82,082 - $193,440.

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
