We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Systems Testing/QA Specialist for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. As a senior QA authority, you will bridge the gap between business specifications and technical execution, validating both Graphical User Interface (GUI) and non-GUI backend environments. Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will collaborate with technical leads and project teams to design robust automation frameworks, run performance stress tests, and ensure full compliance with digital accessibility standards. This role is designed for an elite tester who can confidently diagnose system anomalies, manage full-lifecycle defect tracking, and safeguard the runtime integrity of mission-critical applications. Full-Lifecycle Test Generation: Author, update, and execute comprehensive test plans, scripts, scenarios, and test data sets for unit, integration, system, load, and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases. Multi-Environment Automation: Lead the planning and coding of robust automated scripts to validate complex software components in both GUI and non-GUI settings. API & Performance Testing: Conduct direct backend API integration testing and evaluate application performance limits under simulated stress conditions. Digital Accessibility Auditing: Execute targeted verification sweeps to ensure all client-facing layouts and web components comply with strict accessibility legislations. Defect Triage & Defect Management: Identify, isolate, and log system defects using enterprise tracking platforms, leading collaborative defect reviews to drive issues to resolution. Data Verification: Execute direct backend database checks and data validation routines to check integration mappings and system records. Qualifications Core Technical & Testing Requirements Enterprise QA Tenure: 10+ years of progressive software testing experience within enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale, multi-tier systems. Automation Engineering Depth: Hands-on experience planning, developing, and executing automated test frameworks using industry-standard tools (such as Selenium). API Validation Capabilities: Proven expertise running direct API validations and data ingestion checks using utilities like Postman. Performance Testing Tooling: Practical experience configuring and managing performance, load, or stress test runs using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or comparable engines. Structured Methodology Fluency: Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall software delivery lifecycles and testing methodologies. Accessibility Standards: Robust experience executing digital accessibility validation sweeps (AODA / WCAG compliance testing) across web layouts. Database & Querying Skills: Strong working knowledge of relational database structures, utilizing SQL or Oracle queries to perform data verification.
