Full Job Description
Are you ready to be at the forefront of the AI revolution, building real-world, low-latency systems that will be deployed in industrial facilities worldwide?

Elementary is seeking an experienced python Senior Software Engineer. If you want to deploy and run cutting edge AI algorithms on real production lines with strict timing requirements, this is the perfect opportunity to make a significant impact. As a Senior Software Engineer on the Edge Team, you would play a key role in building and optimizing core systems for running and managing AI Models for Vision Inspection, on a range of different edge hardware platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, architect, and implement systems for deploying, maintaining, and running AI models on Edge hardware
  • Optimize image pipeline latency, shared memory utilization, and disk usage, to allow better performance on a wider set of hardware platforms
  • Maintain and optimize systems for IoT connectivity to the cloud
  • Expand support for connecting with other edge devices over standard industrial protocols, like EtherNet/IP, Profinet, and OPC UA


Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of general software experience
  • At least 5 years of python experience
  • Strong experience with Linux development
  • Strong understanding of multi-processing, multi-threading, and/or asyncio
  • Not required, but a plus if you have C/C++ experience
  • Not required, but a plus if you have any experience with Ubuntu Core
  • Not required, but a plus if you have any experience with industrial protocols like EtherNet/IP, Profinet, or OPC UA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in a clear manner
  • Must be available to work in our office in South Pasadena, CA at least 2 days per week
