Purpose:

Reporting to the Manager, Financial & Regulatory Reporting, the incumbent will join the financial reporting team in the preparation and coordination of the operations for investment funds including but not limited to; regulatory filings, financial statements and audit, MRFP, expense budgets and MER tracking for the funds.

The successful incumbent will be a focused, highly motivated, independent, innovative team player, possessing a results-oriented attitude with the ability to adapt and problem solve. You should possess the knowledge, skills and ability required to be part of an experienced and independent team and assess, recommend and implement process improvement to operational efficiencies in an effort to better support the Asset Management Operations business.

The incumbent is expected to perform the various position duties independently under general direction from the Manager, Senior Manager and/or Director. In their execution, the incumbent is expected to act independently within approved project guidelines and within department and Bank policy.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Preparation of the financial statements and MRFPs for semi-annual and annual reporting periods;
• Assist in the coordination of the annual audits, including liaison with external auditors;
• Preparation and review of month-end reporting requirement of the team;
• Liaise with appropriate groups and on new fund launches, prospectus renewals and amendment projects;
• Facilitate and liaise with other departments on various issues, questions, and requests for information;
• Manage the review of fund expenses, absorption and MER calculations;
• Be part of the development and mentorship of the junior / co-op team members;
• Lead special projects/analyses on an ad hoc basis as assigned by the Manager or Senior Manager.

• Accounting designation, or working towards
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of related experience; fund administration / mutual fund experience an asset
• Highly motivated, independent, innovative and results-oriented attitude
• Attention to detail and the ability to adhere to time-sensitive deadlines
• Proficient in MS Office (excel & access)
• Working knowledge of relevant regulations and accounting standards an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
