Basic Function

HF Sinclair in Dallas, Tx is seeking a Senior Regional Manager, Sales & Marketing who will lead and manage the Renewable Fuels Marketing team and is accountable for the development and execution of renewable fuels sales and marketing strategies. Responsible for maximizing profitability through the sale of renewable fuel products, developing and maintaining strategic customer relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize market opportunities while supporting the Company's renewable fuels objectives.

Job Duties

  • Establishes operational objectives and assignments to maximize company profitability by leading the renewable fuels sales and marketing team and overseeing renewable fuel sales activities within assigned markets.
  • Develops and executes short- and long-term renewable fuels sales and marketing strategies to support volume, revenue, margin, and growth objectives.
  • Collaborates closely with supply, logistics, operations, trading, regulatory compliance, and finance teams to optimize the sales and distribution of renewable fuel products.
  • Leads, develops, and manages renewable fuels marketing personnel while fostering a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team culture.
  • Establishes and maintains strong working relationships with customers, business partners, refiners, distributors, and other industry participants.
  • Negotiates and actively manages renewable fuel sales agreements and commercial arrangements to maximize value while appropriately managing risk.
  • Ensures commercial agreements, pricing structures, product placement decisions, and customer relationships align with business objectives and market conditions.
  • Monitors federal and state renewable fuels regulations, compliance programs, market trends, competitive activity, and customer requirements to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Identifies and develops new markets, customer segments, and strategic partnerships to expand the Company's renewable fuels business.
  • Works closely with internal stakeholders to evaluate business opportunities using established decision-making frameworks and financial analysis.
  • Develops annual budgets, forecasts, sales plans, and performance metrics and ensures business objectives are achieved.
  • Provides timely communication and recommendations to senior leadership regarding market conditions, regulatory developments, commercial performance, and strategic opportunities.
  • Anticipates market changes and develops strategies to optimize netbacks, market positioning, and profitability.
  • Leads the team through supply disruptions, operational challenges, customer issues, regulatory changes, and other business-critical situations.
  • Establishes and maintains strong industry relationships through participation in industry associations, conferences, and professional organizations.
  • Interprets, recommends, and executes departmental policies and procedures.
  • Partners with management to develop commercial talent, succession plans, and organizational capabilities within the renewable fuels business.

Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.

Experience

A minimum of 15 years of on-the-job industry related work experience is required.

Education Level

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in business or technical related field is required.

PREFERRED EDUCATONAL LEVEL:

A Master's Degree is preferred.

Required Skills

Product Marketing skills extensive knowledge of RFS program and working knowledge of refinery operations are required. Advanced ability to perform a variety of project analysis assignments effectively. Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication, advanced reading and writing skills, ability to multi-task and to ability perform advanced mathematical calculations. Proficient in Microsoft office products. Possess proper personal demeanor and professional outlook that will create mutual respect with peers and a positive work environment. Self-starter with the drive and ability to achieve planned objectives. Ability to be creative, organized, and analytical.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Industry specialization is preferred.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility

None.

Work Conditions

Office based with up to 40% travel by land and air required. Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tank, rotating equipment. Subject to all temperatures, varying weather and road conditions.
