Job OverviewThe Senior Manager, Program Finance is responsible for leading all financial planning, execution, and reporting activities for a major NASA program. This role oversees cost management and customer financial deliverables, including development and review of Cost Files and preparation of NASA 533-series reports. The Senior Manager partners closely with Program Management, Engineering, Scheduling, and Contracts to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial performance.
ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:- Lead the Program Finance team supporting a complex NASA program, ensuring compliance with NASA financial reporting requirements.
- Oversee preparation, validation, and delivery of Cost Files, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with program baseline.
- Manage development, review, and on-time submission of NASA 533 reports (533M, 533Q), ensuring adherence to customer formats and requirements.
- Provide leadership in developing program financial baselines, including BOEs, cost volume support, and change control documentation.
- Collaborate with Program Managers to maintain accurate performance metrics and support Integrated Program Management (IPM) activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, tools, and reporting.
- Present financial performance to internal executives and customer representatives.
- Mentor and develop finance team members; promote high standards of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
Job RequirementsMandatory:- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in program finance, preferably with NASA programs.
- Demonstrated experience supporting NASA programs, including Cost Files and 533-series reporting.
- Strong understanding of government program requirements.
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate within multi-disciplinary program environments.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work in a dynamic program environment.
Preferred:- Master's degree in Business or related field.
- Experience with NASA-specific financial systems, formats, and reporting tools.
