Full Job Description
The Opportunity: Senior Finance Lead, Credit Card

Tilt's Strategic Finance (StratFin) team is hiring a Senior Finance Lead dedicated to the Credit Card business unit. You'll be the embedded finance lead for Credit Card, owning the P&L, driving forecasting and unit economics, and acting as the primary financial thought partner to Credit Card product, credit/risk, and marketing leadership. This is a high-visibility role with direct exposure to BU and executive leadership, and regular input into board-level reporting. Given the seniority of the role, you'll be expected to operate with significant autonomy and to shape strategic direction for the business, not just execute against it.
How You'll Make an Impact
  • Own the Credit Card P&L: Drive the monthly forecast-vs-actual process, variance analysis, and financial reporting for the Credit Card business, including inputs to company-wide board and executive materials.
  • Be the embedded finance partner: Serve as the primary point of contact between Finance and Credit Card leadership - attending BU staff meetings, flagging financial risk/opportunity in real time, and translating operating decisions into financial impact.
  • Own unit economics: Build and maintain the Credit Card unit economics model (CAC, LTV, contribution margin, portfolio yield, delinquency and loss curves) and use it to evaluate new product, pricing, and credit line initiatives.
  • Drive planning cycles: Lead the Credit Card-specific inputs to annual planning and quarterly re-forecasts, ensuring assumptions are grounded and resourcing tradeoffs are made explicit.
  • Build the business case: Partner with Credit, Product, and Marketing to size and evaluate new initiatives - pricing changes, acquisition channel shifts, portfolio strategy - with rigorous, data-backed analysis.
  • Partner with Credit/Data Science on portfolio performance: Translate model and portfolio performance (delinquency, roll rates, approval/pricing strategy) into financial terms for leadership.
  • Shape strategic priorities: Independently identify risks and opportunities in the Credit Card business and proactively bring recommendations to leadership, rather than waiting to be asked.
  • Drive AI-enabled finance workflows: Identify and implement opportunities to use AI tools (e.g., Claude, internal automation via Aleph/Databricks) to accelerate reporting, variance analysis, and ad hoc modeling - reducing manual cycle time and freeing capacity for higher-value strategic work. Set an example for the broader StratFin team on responsible, effective AI-assisted analysis.
  • Improve the reporting infrastructure: Build and maintain dashboards and automated reporting so Credit Card metrics are visible, self-serve, and decision-ready for stakeholders.
Why You're a Great Fit
  • 6+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, bizops, management consulting, or investment banking; lending, credit card, or consumer finance experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of owning a P&L or business unit's financial narrative at a senior level, including direct engagement with BU and executive leadership
  • Strong unit economics and financial modeling skills, ideally with exposure to credit/lending economics (loss rates, yield, CAC/LTV)
  • Comfortable with SQL; experience with Databricks and/or Aleph a plus
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) to drive real efficiency gains in financial analysis or reporting - not just casual use, but a demonstrated habit of building and scaling
  • Proven ability to build trust and influence with non-finance BU leaders (product, credit/risk, marketing), including pushing back on flawed assumptions and supplying alternatives
  • A get-it-done mindset - resourceful, hands-on, comfortable in the weeds despite seniority
  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to structure ambiguous problems independently, with minimal oversight
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting to senior/executive and board-level audiences
  • Advanced degree (MBA or related) preferred; experience working across international markets or with global/multi-currency businesses is a plus
