Job DescriptionThe Senior Manager-B2B Digital Product Management will play a critical role in shaping the future of B2B payments for American Express. This individual will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and advancing emerging payment capabilities, strategic partnerships, and innovation opportunities that strengthen our B2B value proposition and position American Express for long-term growth. The role will partner across Product Management, Product Development, Network, and Strategy teams to assess new market developments, define strategic points of view, and develop actionable roadmaps for innovation.

Responsibilities- Develop strategic points of view and define the strategy for evaluating and advancing emerging payment capabilities (e.g., stablecoins, Dynamic Discounting, ACH modernization) across the B2B ecosystem, helping define how American Express evolves its role within the B2B payments landscape.
- Serve as the B2B representative for enterprise-led innovation initiatives, ensuring commercial customer needs and requirements are reflected in future-state payment capabilities and infrastructure investments.
- Evaluate, prioritize, and execute strategic partnership opportunities with external partners and fintechs and lead test-and-learn initiatives to validate customer demand, business value, and scalability of emerging capabilities.
- Develop thought leadership and executive-level recommendations regarding industry trends and competitive dynamics, synthesizing insights into presentations and strategic narratives for senior leadership.
- Support client-facing innovation discussions, strategic planning engagements, and RFP responses by articulating American Express' strategic innovation roadmap and long-term vision for B2B payments.
QualificationsMinimum:- Experience and demonstrated success in product management, strategy, innovation, partnerships, consulting, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of payments, fintech, financial services, or adjacent technology ecosystems.
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to assess ambiguous opportunities and develop actionable recommendations.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership audiences.
- Ability to synthesize complex industry trends, customer insights, and market developments into clear strategic narratives.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across large organizations.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred: - Knowledge of B2B payments, procure-to-pay workflows, accounts payable automation, and commercial payment ecosystems.
- Experience working with emerging payment technologies, fintech partnerships, digital assets, real-time payments, or embedded finance solutions.
- Familiarity with AI applications in payments, financial operations, or enterprise software.
- Demonstrated passion for innovation, emerging technologies, and the future of commerce and payments.
- Master's degree, equivalent education or work experience.
