Full Job Description
MRI Software is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - FP&A to join our team! This individual will support our professional services business by validating monthly revenue and expenses, analyzing and providing insights on monthly variances to forecast/budget, and supporting recurring forecast/budget processes. This role will serve as the primary business partner for services leaders to understand and forecast their financial performance and involve gathering, analyzing, and providing insights on various financial and operational data across multiple systems. This analyst will work cross functionally to explain and resolve reporting issues and discrepancies and identify opportunities for process improvement and more efficient collaboration. This role will provide the opportunity to grow and take on more responsibility based on experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform monthly validation and reconciliation of time tracking system data to billing and revenue data and work cross-functionally to resolve any issues identified
  • Perform monthly analysis on variances to forecast/budget and provide insights
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual budget and forecasting processes
  • Analyze services operational data and metrics to better understand financial performance drivers and relay insights to services leaders
  • Identify opportunities for and help implement process improvements to drive faster and more accurate outcomes and expand capacity
  • Understand how data flows across multiple systems in order to provide accurate reporting and insights and resolve inquiries from cross functional teams
  • Update existing models and analyses on recurring basis to allow real time views of revenue forecasts
  • Provide monthly consolidated services reporting to corporate finance, services, and leadership with commentary on performance
  • Operate as a business partner and key point of contact for services team on all financial reporting and processes
  • Ad-hoc analyses

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Four or more years of financial analyst experience, specifically in FP&A is preferred
  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or other Analytical Field
  • Experience with EPM planning tools (Adaptive, Vena, Hyperion, Anaplan, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ERP and CRM's (Netsuite, Intacct, SFDC, etc)
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Excel
  • Has fundamental financial skills and knowledge, including a basic understanding of financial statements and their interaction
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan, organize, prioritize and multi-task
  • Strong critical thinking, process optimization, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience and/or exposure to using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot)
