Full Job Description
Fitch Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Director, Structured Finance, Market Development, based out of our NY office locations.

This role covers the structured finance markets end to end - ABS, RMBS, CMBS, CLO and Agency MBS - across issuers and investors and the workflows that connect them, from structuring and cashflow analysis through to deal surveillance. It also covers the capital that funds the same collateral before and outside public securitization: warehouse and forward-flow facilities, private placements, asset-based finance and private credit. Understanding how capital moves between those channels, and where Fitch Solutions should be positioned across them, is a core part of the mandate.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Map where capital is flowing across the structured finance markets and the channels that feed them, including public securitization, warehouse and forward-flow lending, private placements and asset-based finance, and translate that into where Fitch Solutions should invest and compete

  • Develop the commercial view across the full ecosystem of issuers and originators, investors and asset managers, bankers and structurers, warehouse lenders, insurance capital, servicers and trustees, and across the workflows that connect them, from structuring and cashflow analysis through to deal surveillance. Ideate, design and implement sales campaigns that leverage a multi-channel, end-to-end approach to increase sales results

  • Monitor, manage and report on campaign progress, course correcting where necessary.

  • Designing customer centric value proposition plans and sales messaging, connecting customer and persona challenges with Fitch Solution value

  • Utilize data to create TAM / SAM bottom up sizings across the structured finance markets and the adjacent privately funded pools, to help prioritize sales focus and prioritization

  • Build strong relationships across the company to partner effectively in a matrix organizational structure to achieve the best business outcome

  • Strategic client engagement, connecting and establishing relationships with senior decision makers

  • Aggregation and prioritization of key customer feedback to ensure the business owners receive product and industry intelligence to act on

  • Identify and size adjacent and emerging opportunities - new asset classes, new funding structures and new buyer types - and build the case for entry, partnership or investment

What Will Make you Stand Out?

  • 10+ business development experience within Financial Services

  • 5+ years domain expertise in the structured finance markets (ABS, CMBS, RMBS, and CLOs) and the workflows around them - structuring, cashflows and deal surveillance - with exposure to the private funding channels for the same collateral (warehouse and forward-flow lending, asset-based finance, private credit) a strong plus

  • Familiarity with the participants across the deal lifecycle - issuers and originators, bankers, investors, warehouse lenders, servicers and trustees - and how their data and workflow needs differ

  • Senior stakeholder relationships and experience with Exec level client meetings

  • Pricing and commercial acumen with respect to data and analytics

  • Advanced MS Office use and management

  • Ability to make a business case using large data sets and analytics technology such as Tableau, Power BI or Qlik Sense

Why Fitch?

  • Hybrid Work Environment: 2 to 3 days a week in office required based on your line of business and location
