The
Data Modeler will support AMI 2.0 analytics program by designing and documenting clear, analytics-ready data models within IBM Netezza. The role focuses on aligning business concepts with data structures to support consistent analytics, reporting, and data sharing across teams.This is a design and enablement role, not an ETL development or platform operations role.
Key Responsibilities:Perform data discovery on datasets available in IBM Netezza
Design and maintain logical and analytical data models to support AMI 2.0 use cases
Define and align core business entities (e.g., customer, premise, meter, usage, time, grid assets)
Work with business, analytics, and architecture teams to clarify definitions and data requirements
Create and maintain data dictionaries, model documentation, and metadata
Support downstream analytics and reporting needs (e.g., Bidgely, Facts BI) through clear data structures
Assist QA and validation teams by providing data modeling subject-matter support
Key Skills:Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Modelling expertise - Ability to design clear, scalable logical and physical data models (star/snowflake, dimensional modelling, normalized models) aligned with data modelling principles using Erwin or similar tools
Business-to-Data Translation (Domain modelling) - translate business concepts into structured data entities and relationships
Data documentation skills - create Data dictionaries , lineage, metadata and model documentation

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $70,751 to $165,984.
