Job Information

Doosan Bobcat North America, Inc. ("Bobcat") is seeking a Litigation attorney with 7+ years of experience to join their legal team in a Corporate Counsel Position. Reporting to the Assistant General Counsel, IP Litigation & Enforcement, this attorney will support the company's efforts to protect and enforce its intellectual property portfolio worldwide. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills and experience managing complex disputes. While an intellectual property background is preferred, the company is open to considering talented litigators who are interested in developing an intellectual property practice in a collaborative in-house environment.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business leaders, engineers, product teams, and outside counsel on a wide variety of intellectual property matters that support Bobcat's innovation and growth initiatives.

Role & Responsibility

  • Assist in coordinating with outside counsel on litigation strategy, discovery, motion practice, and case management.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare analysis related to IP disputes and enforcement matters.
  • Help evaluate potential infringement matters and support the development of enforcement strategies.
  • Draft and respond to cease-and-desist letters and other pre-litigation communications.
  • Assist with fact gathering, witness preparation, and internal investigations related to IP disputes.
  • Monitor ongoing litigation matters and provide status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Support dispute resolution efforts, including settlement discussions, mediations, and other pre-trial activities.


IP Advisory, Counseling & Transactions
  • Advise business teams on intellectual property issues affecting products, marketing initiatives, and commercial activities.
  • Assist in identifying and assessing IP risks related to new products and technologies.
  • Monitor developments in intellectual property law and communicate relevant updates to internal clients.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and in-house counsel to support the protection and enforcement of company IP assets.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate intellectual property-related agreements, including confidentiality agreements, license agreements, technology agreements, and other commercial contracts involving IP rights.
  • Assist with intellectual property due diligence in acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions.
  • Support the assessment of intellectual property risks and opportunities associated with business initiatives.


General Legal Support
  • Collaborate with members of the legal department on a variety of intellectual property and commercial legal matters.
  • Assist with management of outside counsel relationships and legal budgets.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned.


Job Requirement

  • 7+ years of experience as a practicing attorney
  • Top law firm experience and strong academic credentials required
  • In-house or corporate experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active bar membership in good standing in Georgia, Minnesota, or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
