This role is part of Blue Origin Corporate Functions on the Finance AI & BI team and will be on-site in Renton, Washington with relocation provided.

We are seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to own the strategy and roadmap for the suite of BI tools supporting Finance and Accounting, including capital, labor, and inventory/production reporting today, with the expectation that this portfolio will grow. This is a senior, high-autonomy role: you will set direction for how existing tools evolve, lead build-vs-integrate decisions with Enterprise Technology (ET) and other cross-functional partners, and identify where new BI tools should be built to close reporting or controls gaps as the business scales. You will also mentor other analysts and represent Finance and Accounting BI needs in broader enterprise data and systems discussions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Own the execution of Finance and Accounting's BI tool portfolio, currently including Capital Management and In-Servicing, Labor Reporting, and Production web application with expansion to new tools as reporting or controls needs are identified
  • Partner with ET to determine what logic belongs in business intelligence vs. source systems and lead automation of inventory reconciliations and costing sheet rate monitoring
  • Lead the design of automated logic, using transaction detail and accounting guidance to flag and correct transactions, and drive upstream error-prevention to reduce reliance on manual corrections
  • Identify gaps in existing Finance and Accounting reporting and lead the design and build of new BI tools to address them
  • Set priorities for the BI roadmap with Finance, Accounting, and ET leadership, and represent Finance and Accounting BI needs in enterprise data governance discussions
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other BI analysts and supporting their development

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 8+ years in business intelligence or systems analysis, ideally supporting a Finance or Accounting function
  • Demonstrated experience owning BI tool strategy and roadmap with full autonomy, including building new tools or reporting solutions from the ground up
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent, and advanced SQL knowledge
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting concepts (e.g., capital projects, labor allocation, or inventory costing), with the ability to quickly learn Blue Origin-specific policies and processes
  • Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives, influencing senior stakeholders, and mentoring other analysts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of cost accounting concepts, particularly capital project accounting or manufacturing cost accounting
  • Familiarity with ERP/cloud data platforms (Microsoft Dynamics 365, OneStream, Databricks, etc) and proficiency with Python or R for automation/advanced analytics
  • Experience with data warehousing, ETL workflow design, or applying AI/ML to automate error detection at scale
  • Experience driving enterprise-wide data governance or standardization initiatives

Base Pay Range for:
