Job Summary
The Senior Backend .NET Developer will serve as a hands-on lead developer within the Online Security Modernization Technology (OST) team, focused on authentication and authorization capabilities across the organization. The role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting a mission-critical Authentication platform in a dynamic Agile environment. The position is approximately 50% design and 50% development and requires strong expertise in C# and .NET, scalable API development, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and modern system architecture. The developer will collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver secure, high-quality software releases.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and delivery of software products through QA, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Production phases.
• Design, develop, and support server-side applications and APIs using C# and .NET technologies.
• Design and implement highly available, scalable, and high-throughput applications.
• Support identity and credential management systems for authentication between internal and external systems.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders across Project Management, Business, QA, and Technology Operations to ensure timely and effective delivery.
• Partner with the Scrum Master and Product Owner to provide development sizing and cost estimates.
• Work with Product Owners and team members on story decomposition, feature design, and task prioritization.
• Apply automated testing tools and frameworks, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), to maintain software quality.
• Help identify and remove technical roadblocks in collaboration with the Scrum Master and development team.
• Coordinate individual team deliverables to support successful product releases.
• Identify technology risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Conduct code quality reviews and improvement sessions with onshore and offshore development teams.
• Promote effective requirements specification, system design, coding, and development methodologies.
• Prototype, validate, and develop application solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance across the development team.
• Troubleshoot production issues using logs, dashboards, and application metrics.
• Contribute to Agile development, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and software release activities.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of hands-on application programming and/or test automation framework experience in an Agile development environment.
• 6-10 years of experience in a comparable Senior .NET/C# development role.
• Strong expertise in server-side application development and API development using C# and .NET.
• Extensive experience designing and implementing applications requiring high availability, throughput, and scalability.
• Strong knowledge of contemporary system architecture, development standards, and engineering guidelines.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
• At least 3 years of experience providing technical leadership and driving the adoption of technical innovations across teams.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Lean development and testing methodologies, including Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
• Experience working with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
• Background in AI development and Specification-Driven Development.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB and Aerospike.
• Knowledge of authentication technologies and protocols such as Kerberos, certificate-based authentication, and Ping Identity solutions.
• Experience testing RESTful web services using automated testing frameworks.
• Ability to parse and validate nested JSON and XML data; experience with SOAP is advantageous.
• Proficiency with source control and Agile development tools including Bitbucket, Jira, Zephyr, Bamboo, and Git.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience working in CI/CD environments such as Bamboo, including creating, modifying, and executing jobs from scratch using Git as a source control system.
• Strong production troubleshooting skills using logs, Splunk, dashboards, and application metrics.
• Ability to perform effectively in challenging and fast-paced environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Previous experience in the financial services or brokerage industry.
