Overview

As a Senior Analyst on the Data Operations team, you will help our team build a robust foundation of reporting and analytics and help internal and external clients make better decisions by taking advantage of known data-driven techniques. This role is cross-functional in nature as not only will you be responsible for generating end-to-end insights but also will be managing several resources to take on already structured processes. In addition, one of the most important requirements is driving bottom-line growth through ensuring operational efficiencies.

The candidate must have strong technical skills in relational databases, API data extraction, programming in various analytics software such as R or Python, automate data pipelines, build aesthetic / analytically profound / easy to understand visualizations using software such as Tableau to tell stories and provide recommendations that can help end-users to optimize on their key performance indicators.

In order to succeed the candidate must have sound technical knowledge as well as outstanding soft skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead reporting / analytical end-to-end project initiatives including project management, executive communication, defining deliverables, designing data pipelines, task delegation, resource management


  • Collaborating with agency, product, campaign management teams to define, plan, delegate processes for end deliverables


  • Develop data pipelines with processes ranging from mining, extracting, cleansing, transforming to building automatable reporting and analytics dashboards


  • Deliver complex actionable analytical solutions involving heavy data sets


  • Contribute in the discovery and expansion of new and existing methodologies, tools, and algorithms


  • Manage relational databases to organize, store, process clean data prepared for internal and client stakeholders


  • Manage / coach / train offshore reporting and analytics resources to ensure already outlined project tasks are fulfilled and solid communication with key stakeholders is taking place


  • Communicate / present analytical findings and recommendations to audiences ranging from executives to working level team members


Qualifications

Education:

  • 2+ years of experience in Data Analytics, proficiency with analytics software and related education


  • Undergraduate degree in Math, Analytics/Business Intelligence, Statistics or other quant related field


  • Preferred Graduate degree in Analytics, Statistics, Business Intelligence or related field


Skills:

  • Preferred Experience with platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Social Platforms (Facebook / Twitter etc.), Big Data cloud environments and other similar CRM platforms


  • Fluency in SQL with strong understanding of relational database constructs


  • Proficiency in programming software (Python)


  • Proficiency with data visualization tools such as PowerBI / Tableau


  • Proficiency with MS Office products in particular Excel skills (Macros, Pivot Tables, Power Pivot)


  • Alteryx data cleansing/pipelining is a plus


Experience:

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills including pipelining, cleansing, structuring, manipulating, automating, and analyzing data of various types


  • Have applied analytics and reporting experience implementing and supporting data platforms to support internal stakeholders and clients


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to share technical results and recommendations to audiences at varying levels of analytic understanding.


  • Experience in analytics and report scheduling / automation using tools ranging from Alteryx / Databricks / Crontab / Stored Procedures

Compensation Range: USD $73,150.00 - USD $112,554.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
