Responsibilities

Reporting to the Principal Director, SAP Innovation and IP and the Vice President, Delivery for engagement assignment, the SAP BTP Full-Stack and Integration Developer builds the services, applications, and integrations designed for Talan clients.

This role focuses on building, testing, and shipping maintainable code. You partner with architects, functional specialists, and support teams to turn designs into secure, observable components that can be transferred to operations.

Your mission consists of:
  • Technical and functional expertise
    • Build services and applications with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, including CDS models, OData v4 services, business logic, validation, and authorization.
    • Create SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 interfaces, APIs, and services that connect SAP and non-SAP processes.
  • Problem solving and analytical thinking
    • Build content in SAP Integration Suite, including flows, mappings, API policies, events, retry logic, alerting, and monitoring.
    • Write unit and integration tests, participate in code review, and keep continuous integration and deployment pipelines healthy.
  • Operational excellence
    • Support testing, defect resolution, cutover, stabilization, and root-cause correction.
  • Collaboration and team mindset
    • Produce technical documentation, deployment guides, and handover material, and contribute constructive code reviews.
  • Knowledge sharing
    • Expand the practice's reusable components, templates, and code samples, and support the onboarding of new developers.

Qualifications
  • Experience: At least six (6) years in software development, including at least three (3) years on SAP BTP.
  • CAP expertise: At least three (3) years with Node.js or Java, CDS modelling, and OData v4 service design.
  • Interface development: At least three (3) years with SAPUI5 and Fiori Elements, JavaScript or TypeScript, SQL, and SAP HANA Cloud.
  • Integration and security: At least two (2) years with SAP Integration Suite, including an event-driven scenario, plus hands-on experience with XSUAA, destinations, on-premises connectivity, and principal propagation.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Conditions: Canada-based remote role; occasional travel, typically under 15% of working time.
  • Communication: Good oral and written communication skills, in English, to communicate with clients located across North America.

Assets
  • SAP enterprise architecture, TOGAF, SAP LeanIX, cloud architecture, or SAP Activate certification.
  • Experience with RISE with SAP, mergers and acquisitions, or assessing SAP AI and agentic capabilities
