Department: Supported Living and Employment Services
Employment Type: Full-time
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M

Job Summary:

In this critical position, you'll develop and implement a comprehensive risk management strategy, ensuring seamless alignment with departmental goals and objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential risks across operational, strategic, and compliance domains.

Beyond risk management, you'll be a guardian of compliance, monitoring regulatory changes and recommending necessary policy and procedure updates. Your proficiency in conducting audits, visits, and thorough documentation will empower you to identify and address negative trends effectively. As a liaison between key stakeholders, your ability to foster collaboration and drive efficient communication will be invaluable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an all-encompassing risk management strategy aligned with department goals and objectives.
  • Identify and assess operational, strategic, and compliance risks associated with department operations.
  • Conduct risk assessments to evaluate potential impact and likelihood of identified risks, prioritizing them for mitigation.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation plans, policies, and procedures to minimize the impact of identified risks.
  • Ensure program compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards by monitoring regulatory changes and recommending necessary policy and procedure updates.
  • Monitor identified risks to track exposure and report regularly to SLES leadership.
  • Ensure satisfaction surveys are distributed to internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory agencies to address risk-related issues and develop recommendations for improvement plans.
  • Coordinate Program Support Managers (PSMs) and Client Accounts Specialists (CASs) to ensure consistency and provide overall support, including updating the PSM/CAS Manual annually.
  • Act as PSM or CAS when positions are vacated until filled.
  • Serve as a liaison between the company Representative Payee and Client Account Specialists in the field.
  • Perform fiscal audits of Client Room and Board accounts as needed.
  • Coordinate trainers and ensure consistency across all regions.
  • Take the lead in preparation for CARF, Certification, and DMH Provider Reviews (conducted by vendors).
  • Act as a liaison with Corporate Compliance regarding Risk Management.
  • Collaborate with the CQI Business Partner to develop plans for identified risks and ensure implementation.


Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Compliance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and risk management software/tools.


Required License/Certification (one of the following):
  • Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP)
  • Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA)
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP)
