Position Description:

This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 1 days per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Perform functional, integration, and API testing to validate system behavior and ensure quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with developers, program managers, and cross-functional teams to align on project goals and timelines.
• Analyze application logs using tools such as Splunk and Argo CD to support debugging and validation activities.
• Create, maintain, and publish detailed test reports and quality metrics.
• Identify, document, and track defects, working with teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor and continuously improve QA processes, tools, and metrics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Identify potential risks or obstacles that could impact delivery timelines and proactively communicate updates to stakeholders.
• Support Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery models by adapting testing approaches as needed.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and quality improvement.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 4 to 8 years experience in Software testing in enterprise-level IT environments and large-scale systems.
• Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing.
• Hands-on experience using Splunk/Argo CD to search, analyze and visualize application logs for functional, integration, and API testing.
• Strong leadership: Ability to guide and motivate cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timeline.
• Deep understanding of Agile, Scrum and Waterfall testing methodologies
• Experience creating and maintaining Test Strategies, Test Cases and scripts, as well as Test Reports.
• Continuously monitor and improve QA metrics, tooling, and processes.
Proficiency in SQL queries for back-end/Database testing.
• Experience in Test Management tools like JIRA, Confluence.
• Work closely with Program Managers and stakeholders across project team to ensure overall project delivery from Quality Engineering perspective.
• Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project's timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the Program Manager.
• Comfortable working in a self-guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your own time efficiently, without direct oversight.
• Knowledge on cloud technologies will be an added advantage.

Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with cloud technologies and modern cloud-based application environments.
