Full Job Description
The Role

As a QA Engineer, you will be a hands-on tester at the heart of keeping the quality bar high for Nimble's cloud logistics products. Working closely with our world-class cross-functional team, you will execute and author test cases, hunt down defects, and help ship the software that powers the world's most advanced robotic fulfillment system. Nimble Cloud Logistics is a 30-person team that is core to delivering effective solutions to Nimble's customers. On occasion, the team is expected to work extended hours, including weekends, to launch large revenue opportunities for the company.

Responsibilities
  • Continuously stay caught up to speed with definition of expected behavior
  • Execute QA test cases defined in our test management tooling for functional, regression, and release testing
  • Author new, clearly written test cases and contribute to steadily improving test coverage
  • Reproduce, document, and track defects with precise reproduction steps, expected vs. actual results, and severity assessments
  • Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing ahead of releases
  • Test REST APIs directly (e.g., via Postman or scripts) and validate data correctness using SQL
  • Apply a variety of testing methodologies (functional, negative, boundary, exploratory) to our robotic fulfillment product
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to clarify requirements and flag ambiguity early
  • Contribute small scripts or tooling improvements that speed up repetitive testing tasks
  • Be able to leverage AI tooling to speed up testing velocity and strengthen testing quality


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
  • 2+ years of industry experience in QA testing
  • Experience performing QA tests for web, mobile, or desktop apps
  • Working knowledge of SQL and REST APIs
  • Strong written communication skills - clear test steps and unambiguous bug reports
  • High attention to detail and a methodical, curious approach to breaking software
  • Ability to work from written requirements and gain clarity when expectations are ambiguous
  • Strong drive to grow and stay current with innovations in the QA field


Additional Requirements
  • Scripting or coding skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript)
  • Exposure to GraphQL and/or gRPC APIs
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., TestRail)
  • Domain experience in e-commerce, logistics, or fulfillment
  • Willing to work extended hours and weekends if needed

Compensation

The pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $110,000 and $130,000/year. Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, this position will also receive generous equity for this position.
