Full Job Description
General Summary of Position

Medstar Health is looking for a Psychiatry Post Doctorate Fellow to join our Center for Wellbeing in School Environments (WISE) team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital! The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, and Access, with emphasis on spreadsheet software, data searches, etc.

The Psychiatry Post Doctorate Fellow- will support programs and activities at our WISE Center within the Department of Psychiatry at MedStar Georgetown. Will take part in research and program evaluation activities and providing clinical service and consultation as requested.

Primary Duties:

  • Clinical duties: provides consultation, directs clinical services, and teaches wellbeing support within WISE Center schools under the supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist. 2; supports the delivery of professional development training for teachers, school leaders, and mental health professionals across the city.


  • Research duties: contributes to the WISE Center's ongoing research design and outcome evaluation strategy; manages the WISE Center's institutional IRBs; supports continued data collection within schools and directly with families; manages a comprehensive database for all research and outcome evaluation data; processes, analyzes, and synthesizes current and archived programmatic data; disseminates research findings in the form of verbal summaries, white papers, journal publications, and conference presentations.


  • Other duties: Participates in WISE/Dept of Psychiatry staff meetings, collaborative office rounds, didactics, and division/department grand rounds; contributes to the training and supervision of the WISE Center's psychology externs and psychiatry fellows; works effectively with multidisciplinary teams; participates in advocacy and development in the DC educational and funding communities.


Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology.


  • A minimum of 3 years direct service with child/adolescent populations preferred.


  • Knowledge of SPSS and SAS is preferred.

USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 /Yr.
