The Project Manager provides leadership and on-site direction for all aspects of construction for their assigned projects, with a focus on delivering excellence in healthcare construction. This individual is responsible for overall project planning, scheduling, cost management, resource allocation, project accounting, and quality assurance-ensuring compliance with all safety standards and regulatory requirements. They will also lead and develop project staff to achieve performance goals while ensuring that each project meets or exceeds client expectations.

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in healthcare construction and a deep understanding of the unique challenges and regulations associated with inpatient acute care hospital projects.

Responsibilities
  • Supervision of Quality Managers, Office Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and Assistant Administrative Assistants
  • Ensure that projects are staffed correctly
  • Plan and hold estimating hand off meeting
  • Plan and hold project kick off meeting
  • Assure that project planning meetings are held
  • Assure that pre-planning processes are followed
  • Assist the project team with the project risk management strategy
  • Analyze and write subcontracts
  • Create subcontractor bid tabs
  • Initiate pre-qualifications of potential subs
  • Review with Superintendent all purchases for material, rental equipment, and forming systems
  • Prepare and submit proposed changes to the Owner
  • Chair weekly project meetings
  • Prepare monthly billing to the Owner
  • Maintain proposed changes
  • Monitor progress and maintain project schedule
  • Expedite material deliveries
  • Review monthly job cost reports and prepare forecasts
  • Monitor the safety program
  • Responsible for project closeout out including preparation of all warranties, as-built drawings, and maintenance manuals

Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-10+ years of experience in commercial construction, with specific and proven experience in healthcare construction.
  • Strong knowledge of regulations, codes, and best practices for inpatient acute care hospital projects. Preferred
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
