Payrate: $89 - 99/hr
The primary work location(s) will be at 701 W 51st Street, Austin, Texas 78751 . The working position is Hybrid - On Site and Telework .
Position will be 3 days remote with 2 days (Thurs & Fri) required to be onsite at the location listed above.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required and should be noted on the resume. Proof of certification may be requested.
Program will only allow candidates who are LOCAL TO THE AUSTIN AREA ONLY (Within 50-mile radius).
Project managers are the people in charge of a specific project or projects within a company. As the project manager, your job is to plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific project you are working on. Project managers might work by themselves or be in charge of a team to get the job done.
DSHS CFO is requesting a Project Manager (PM) to work with program and IT to implement Invoice Tracking System replacement project activities. This includes but not limited to facilitate meetings, manage the project milestones and deliverables and change request, manage risks and issues, track project budget, manage project scope, complete various reporting, etc. to ensure the project is completed on time and under budget.

Years Required/Preferred Experience
10 Required Skilled in managing project with implementations across large organizations. Experience should include developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, issues, and contingency plans
10 Ability to research, gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze facts; to devise solutions to problems; and to prepare concise reports and/or to analyze and solve complex and difficult problems
10 Experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts, ensure business requirements get translated into technical specifications, guide, and facilitate the SDLC process
10 Experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholder. Must possess strong communication and presentation skills.
10 Ability to appropriately summarize and escalate issues and develop and present weekly status updates and conduct regular project team meetings
10 Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
10 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
8 Agile methodology, overseeing and tracking development progress, and ensuring project assignments align with project timelines
8 Agile Experience - Managing the project with feature driven sprints
5 Preferred Experience implementing and using agile methodologies and best practices for 1 or more State of Texas Agencies
5 Prior experience in healthcare or Public Health
2 PMP Certification
