YesMake a differenceThe Program Manager is accountable for the performance of assignments including recommendations, scheduling, financial performance, and client's satisfaction. Administers, coordinates, designs and delivers construction and maintenance services/solutions to clients. Supports the Business Unit(s) in the effective delivery of 24/7/365 Demand Services requests, planned maintenance, preventative maintenance and construction programs in a multi discipline environment. This role will focus on Demand Maintenance and Capital Projects.
What you'll do- Planning, coordination, implementation, inspection of capital projects
- To assess operating systems, provide recommendations to replace, extend life cycle, reduce/mitigate potential damages or reduction in life cycle of building components
- Prepare/evaluate/execute service proposals (eg. RFP, quote, contract review etc.) for construction, preventative, and demand service requests for clients on an on-call 24/7 basis
- Prepare, review, confirm, recommend on assigned projects; scope of work, contract reviews (including service level agreements)
- Establish client communication protocols, financial reporting, progress updates, scheduling and work activities to meet/exceed contract obligations
- Mitigate risks to client's assets through establishment of proven service standards. Assists their direct reports and clients in providing business operations performance reports
- Coordinate with various departments at TCH to successfully implement assignments
- Participate in JHSC meetings and/or committees as required
- Prepare regular equipment/service audits as required
- Implement, evaluate and recommend corporate vendor management policies and procedures
- Supervise, mentors, trains and directs unionized service and administrative staff
- Coordinate all aspects of service delivery and staff deployment.
- Manage staff's attendance: i.e. vacation requests, payroll input and monitor staffing capacity re: shifts, on call, call-out schedules.
- Coordinate with Human Resources and respective Unions to deal with grievances, and conflict resolution
- Health and Safety compliance, workplace accident and injury investigations & reporting
- Supervision of multi-disciplined vendors' pool, including performance evaluations, site inspection, service procurement and delivery strategies from concept to completion.
- Preparation/review/development of resources
- Responsible for the project communication to all parties
- Prepare/Review/Conduct progress meetings/minutes and presentations to stakeholders
- Develop and manages stakeholder relationships
- Prepare and/or reviews project budgets including projections, tracking, adjusting and reporting costs anomalies, and reconciling costs quarter/year end
- Provide and recommends approaches on program /project budgets to Program Manager or designate
- Provide sound technical recommendations when/where requested
- Other duties as assigned
What you'll need- Minimum of 5 years of security job-related experience
- College diploma or trade certification in security design, general contracting, program/project/system management or equivalent work experience in a supervisory capacity in the above areas, with an emphasis in the architectural and related Security Systems/Maintenance fields
- Must have knowledge of the Security Systems/Maintenance principles, methods, materials and equipment inherent to, retrofit and preventive maintenance
- Experience working in a consulting firm and managing multi-site portfolios will be an asset
- Sound knowledge of OSHA, Residential Tenancy Act. OBC, and related legislation
- Experience supervising unionized staff is an asset
- Architectural/Engineering, By-Law and Code enforcement, Property Management, Trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Carpentry) Technical expertise in at least one of the following related disciplines: architecture, building sciences landscape architectural, HVAC systems, roofing systems, mold / asbestos training, construction trades (i.e. plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry)
- Contract administration, tender preparation, legislative & technical knowledge; experience in developing & monitoring budget plans; knowledge of all relevant construction and industrial codes including OHSA, Ontario Building Code, Gas Code, Fire Code and local By-Laws etc; extensive supervisory experience in a multi discipline work environment including unionized and non-unionized labour forces
- Team development; Mentoring and coaching
- Design experience in related disciplines is an asset
