Our organization is seeking a Product Owner to advance our user experiences and channel solutions to the next level. This role involves building world-class and forward-leaning user experiences, thoughtfully integrating proprietary and partnered solutions, supporting the evaluation and integration of important and emerging technologies and capabilities to drive adoption, and ensuring our users have the most seamless, intuitive, and exceptional product experience possible. The Product Owner plays a key role in the execution and delivery of product initiatives. They work closely with Product Managers and execution teams to gain a deep understanding of the product vision, strategy, and roadmap to drive the delivery of innovative outcomes for key user experience initiatives. The Product Owner leads the scrum team and provides the necessary direction to IT partners to successfully execute product initiatives. They are responsible for refining business requirements into user stories that comprise the product backlog and managing the prioritization of the team backlog to streamline the execution of program priorities while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components for the team. They are responsible for validating and accepting user stories as complete.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Coordinates with the Product Manager to deliver on the product vision, strategy, and roadmap; understands business value and return on investment
• Provides vision and direction to the agile development team throughout the project; communicates product strategy and works in partnership with the development team and business system analyst to deliver on features
• Heavily involved in program level backlog refinement and grooming to gain deep understanding of features to facilitate the translation of those features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria, participates in scrum events
• Responsible for iteration pre-planning; plans and prioritizes product feature backlog user stories to ensure work focuses on maximum value as aligned to product strategy and prepares detailed user stories during iteration planning
• Coordinate and actively participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives; ensures stakeholders are available and are also engaged in the reviews as needed
• Responsible for building, editing, and maintaining the team backlog including defects, enablers, and technical debt
• Responsible for testing coordination, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning, test credential management, defect reporting and resolution, and accepting user stories as done
• Responsible for product documentation including maintaining product requirements documentation
• Resolves escalations and removes blockers to maintain project velocity and team productivity. Partners with the Product Manager to identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies that safeguard delivery timelines, scope, quality, and business value
• Identifies and/or tracks dependencies across teams and coordinates cross-team hand-offs to prevent integration issues and misalignment
• Leads product feature level release planning activities, creates product release plans for their assigned features, and participates in post-production implementation validation activities
• Identifies process inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement to accelerate delivery and quality

Job Requirements:
• 3+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Relevant experience with at least 2 years in product organization, agile execution, or related product execution roles
• Related Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
• In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
• Demonstrated experience working in agile and iterative development environments
• Ability to communicate complex product requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with product backlog management and user story writing
• Strong critical thinking, collaboration, and stakeholder alignment skills

Preferred:
• Business knowledge of Florida Blue Lean/Six Sigma or Product Owner certification
• Experience leading teams in a matrix environment with reporting responsibilities to two or more different areas

General Physical Demands
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement which combines flexibility with in-office engagement. Team schedules are determined based on role requirements and business needs. Travel to and from our corporate or regional offices may be required.

Annualized Salary Range: $77,600 - $126,100

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $77,600 - $97,000

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
