Producing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or Configuration as Code (CaC), delivering solutions with a code first approach with sufficient comments and structure
Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions
Diagnosing and resolving complex performance, security, and/or technical challenges
Supporting all tiers of applications deployed in the cloud, configuring network, cloud native services, infrastructure, and privileges for development teams
Identifying opportunities for optimizing cloud consumption by the agency and providing strategic direction for addressing those opportunities
Creating/updating cloud environment configurations within Kion to establish/support application workloads, including
Azure Focused: Configuration of Subscriptions, Resource Groups, VNets, Subnets, load balancers, App Services, Azure Batch, Virtual Machines, resource tagging, billing, policy implementation, and security controls
AWS Focused: Configuration of AWS Accounts, IAM Users and Roles, VPCs, subnets, load balancers, Network routes, Transit Gateway, Control Tower, Systems Manager, Config Manager, stack sets, WAF, CloudFront, and Route53
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
12+ years experience in information technology with 8+ years of focused, hands on experience deploying/configuring workloads withineitherAWS or Azure 6 preferred experience is DevOps focused
Professional Architect Certification within eitherAWS or Azure
- Hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and administering Kion in AWS environments, including organizational units, account structures, projects, compliance scores, financial guardrails, and cloud provider integrations (AWS, Azure, OCI, and GCP).
- Experience with AWS FinOps tools, including AWS Billing Conductor, Cost Explorer, cloud cost allocation, and identifying resource waste and cost optimization opportunities.
- Hands-on experience developing AWS CloudFormation Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates for automated infrastructure deployment.
- Experience managing and optimizing AWS services, including Amazon ECS, Application Load Balancers (ALB), and Amazon RDS, with responsibility for scaling, high availability, patching, and performance optimization.
- Experience managing AWS Commercial and GovCloud environments across multiple regions.
- Understanding of FedRAMP requirements, cloud governance, and cloud engineering best practices in AWS and multi-cloud environments.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and cross-functional teams to deliver cloud solutions.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and documenting requirements, user stories, and use cases.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, and operational best practices across enterprise cloud environments.

WAGE INFORMATION
Target salary range: $160,000.00 - $190,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate only and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual 6s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
