Full Job Description
Pricing Manager
Patient Access & Public Affairs
Mississauga, Canada

In a market where every pricing decision shapes who gets access to life-changing medicine, you'll be the one building the models, leading the analysis, and influencing the outcomes. This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of commercial strategy, health economics, and patient access - with direct line of sight to how your work expands treatment reach across Canada.

Your new role

As our new Pricing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how Novo Nordisk's portfolio is priced, listed, and accessed across Canadian public and private markets. From pre-launch pricing strategy through to post-launch compliance and payer negotiations, you will own the quantitative backbone of our access decisions - building models, validating business cases, and ensuring every scenario is analysed with rigour and precision.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Preparing launch pricing and post-launch price dispensation business cases for new and in-market brands, including business cases for potential product listing agreements (PLAs)
  • Developing robust models that allow multiple pricing, contracting, and listing scenarios to be analysed accurately - ensuring alignment with insights and analytics teams and broader NNCI forecasts
  • Participating directly in payer negotiations and tenders to action approved PLA business cases, working closely with legal to optimise contracts and lead the contract routing and approval process
  • Validating PLA rebate invoices for appropriateness and accuracy against contractual terms
  • Supporting public and private access submissions, particularly budget impact analyses (BIAs) and other quantitative analysis for reimbursement submissions
  • Serving as program lead on analytics-heavy projects, including implementing and tracking performance metrics and KPIs for programs executed by the Patient Access field force
  • Owning NNCI price lists, certifying prices in the global database, managing ARP requests, and developing price increase recommendations for the annual planning process

Your new department

The Patient Access & Public Affairs team in Canada is responsible for ensuring Novo Nordisk's medicines reach the patients who need them through effective pricing strategies, stakeholder engagement, and market access excellence. You will join a collaborative team that works cross-functionally with Global Strategic Pricing, legal, marketing, and regional colleagues to navigate Canada's complex payer landscape. Your analytical expertise will directly support new product launches and the ongoing commercial health of our in-market portfolio.

Your skills & qualifications

We're looking for an analytically sharp Pricing Manager who thrives in complexity and enjoys translating data into strategic decisions. You'll bring with you:
  • 5-7 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with 2+ years specifically in pricing, forecasting, and analytics
  • A Bachelor's degree in science, statistics, business administration, or another discipline requiring strong quantitative analysis skills; an advanced post-secondary degree (Master's) in a related field is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to build comprehensive financial and pricing models, with strong proficiency in scenario analysis and business case development
  • Familiarity with IQVIA (IMS) data assets is a strong asset
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to navigate cross-functional collaboration across local, regional, and global teams - including comfort participating in payer negotiations
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English, with the ability to present complex quantitative analysis clearly to diverse audiences
