What you'll actually do- Partner with our Account Executives to identify customer requirements and tailor Formance's platform to their specific architecture and use case.

- Go deep with prospects on their technical and business challenges, and act as a trusted advisor on how to best architect Formance into their stack.

- Serve as the feedback loop between sales, product, and engineering - what you hear from prospects directly shapes what gets built next.
- Contribute to technical content (whitepapers, FAQs, case studies) that supports the broader sales motion.
What we're looking forMust-haves:
- 3+ years of experience in pre-sales, solutions engineering, or hands-on software engineering - fintech or SaaS experience is a strong plus, but real engineering depth matters more than a sales background.
- Comfortable going deep on payments or financial transaction systems, or picking that up fast.
- Excellent communication skills - you can translate a complex technical concept for both an engineer and a CFO in the same conversation.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment, juggling multiple deals and priorities at once.
- Comfortable using AI tools like Claude as part of your daily workflow for research, documentation, and prep.
What will set you apart:
- A track record of being the person prospects trust to tell them the truth, not just close the deal.
- A proactive mindset - you spot ways to improve the pre-sales process rather than waiting to be told.
