Full Job Description

Team Lead 

The Team Lead oversees the operations, ensures conformance of policies and procedures, and ensures team’s work product meets or exceeds customer satisfaction. Team Leads provide the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Security Division (SecD) with high-quality Background Investigations and Adjudication Support Services. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Responsible to perform audits, compliance reviews, aged case analysis and inventory which may be required to keep background records up-to-date (i.e., PRs). 
  • Facilitate communications within Team Amentum and the FBI staff. 
  • Responsible for providing general direction to direct reports, ensures conformance with policies and procedures, and ensures team’s work product meets or exceeds the terms of the contract and Performance Work Statement in order to maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction for their team. 
  • Works with the Program Manager and Assistant Program Manager to monitor standards of performance, implement quality control measures, and capture knowledge through ongoing process evaluation. 
  • Provides training for new employees and tracks employees training plan progress. 
  • Conducts Quality Control Checks monthly to ensure contract compliance. 
  • Ensures the quality and timeliness of deliverables and assigned work. 
  • Reviews time sheets for invoicing accuracy. 
  • Coordinates vacation/leave requests with Assistant Program Manager and Federal Staff. 
  • Conducts performance reviews for their direct reports. 
  • Assists the Program Manager, Assistant Program Manager and Human Resources in the recruitment and hiring process including conducting interviews for openings within their department. 
  • Provides and documents informal coaching of employees. 
  • Assists Program Manager, Assistant Program Manager and Human Resources with formal discipline process as needed. 
  • Assists Program Manager, Assistant Program Manager and Human Resources with addressing complaints and resolving issues within their department as needed. 
  • Professionally represents the organization to internal and external customers. 
  • Develops alternatives and solutions to general issues.

Required Qualifications 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government issued Top Secret security clearance 
  • Must be Personnel Security Specialist (PSS) Senior. 
  • Bachelors Degree
  • Requires an in-depth knowledge of the principles, processes and methods of personnel security. 
  • Requires working knowledge of the processes of inter-related departments or functional areas. 
  • Must be familiar with general Government contracting rules, regulations and procedures. 
  • The position requires the ability to develop partnerships and effective working relationships with a wide array of customers, sponsors, and federal agencies. 

 

Desired Qualifications 

  • Advanced degree in any field of study. 
  • Previous experience in security leadership role. 
  • Experience conducting interviews and security briefings, discussing analysis and opinion in a concise, logical and objective manner, and preparing written communications setting forth analyses and recommendations. 

 

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk; handle or feel objects; and write. Ability to bend, reach, lift, and carry up to 15 pounds.

Compensation Details:

$90,000 - $100,000
