Full Job Description
PCBA Conformal Coating Technician

As a Conformal Coating Technician at Astranis, you'll support new process development for PCBA conformal coating across our spaceflight and ground hardware. You'll assist with the overall conformal coating workflow, supporting both automated equipment and manual application processes.
Role
  • Operate automated dispensing equipment and batch washing systems.
  • Perform manual PCBA preparation and processes such as including component masking, staking, de-masking, and manual touchups.
  • Provide feedback to improve staking coating drawings
  • Perform all work according to work instructions
  • Work with cross functional engineering team to support new developments
  • Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineers to develop and document future activities
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience working hands-on as a technician in the electronics industry
  • Experience with PCBA conformal coating and PCBA material handling
  • Can read assembly drawings, work instructions, and travelers
  • Familiar with windows style PC operating systems
  • Ability to be onsite 5 days a week
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Bonus
  • A.S. electrical, mechanical, or aerospace engineering technology or equivalent technical programs
  • IPC-A-610 certification and experience building to Class 3 and J-STD-001 Space Addendum standards.
  • Familiarity with programming and operating dispense equipment .
  • Exposure to new product introduction (NPI) enviroments.
  • Experience working in a clean room environment
  • Experience working with electrical schematics and PCB design files, especially in Altium

The actual base salary offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level requirements, and the level and scope of the position.

Base Hourly Pay

$36-$52 USD

U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status Required
