The Opportunity
The Senior Software Engineer supports QVC by developing, testing, implementing, and supporting applications for the Merchandising, Programming, and Planning business teams. The role partners with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, QA, and team members to deliver scalable, reliable solutions and maintain business-critical applications. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Software Engineering, this role also provides technical leadership through code reviews, design reviews, mentoring, and legacy system improvements.
- This role is remote; job seekers must reside in one of the following states to be considered: NJ, PA, DE. This role may require you to be on site at our West Chester, PA as needed. Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
What You'll Do
- Lead full lifecycle application development for Merchandising, Programming, and Planning systems.
- .Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, clients, and team members to clarify requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
- Provide production support and troubleshooting for existing applications to maintain stability and continuity.
- Support DevOps and quality engineering practices, including automated testing, deployment automation, release readiness, and post-implementation review.
- Provide technical leadership through code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring.
- Lead architectural improvements and legacy system modernization.
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience delivering enterprise application development across the full SDLC, including requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
- 5+ years of experience maintaining complex and legacy applications with a focus on stability, performance, and availability.
- 5+ years of experience contributing to technical design, code reviews, solution delivery, and mentoring of other engineers.
- 5+ years of experience supporting DevOps and quality engineering practices, including test planning, automation, release processes, and deployment pipelines
