Job Description
**This position offers the ability to work remotely three days per week with a Flexible/Hybrid work schedule. **

This position serves as a first-line manager of professional positions in a complex work area. This position is responsible for managing the various marketing activities, events, and employees for the Marketing section. The position is also responsible for analyzing Michigan Education Trust (MET) policies and procedures and making recommendations for revisions in policy and procedure. Manages the analysis of MET contract issues and problems to determine solutions. Provide technical direction of MET digital marketing platforms including website and social media pages. Ensure MET's compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations for MET's website and social media. Oversee MET outreach activities and cultivate relationships with employers, corporate, and school partners. Research and recommend contract purchases to the MET Executive Director and provide input in preparing Requests for Proposals (RFP). This position will also be responsible for providing detailed and complex information about MET contract options and payment options. Conduct public presentations to increase awareness and promote MET, the Michigan Education Savings Program (MESP) and Fostering Futures Scholarship (FFS) throughout the state.

Required Education and Experience

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Note: A position is considered professional if the job requires a bachelor's degree. Qualifying 'professional experience' is only taken into consideration post-bachelor's degree.

Alternate Education and Experience

Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications
Alternative experience qualifications of nonprofessional experience, previously identified by the appointing authority and approved by Civil Service, will be accepted as a substitute for the required classified, professional experience for the classification. The nonprofessional experience must be related to departmental programs and services that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Individuals appointed must possess the department-specific alternative experience for positions within that agency only.

Remote Work. To perform the duties and responsibilities of this position, all work must be performed in Michigan. If you are a State of Michigan resident, this position is eligible to work remotely three days per week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday) and is required to work on-site at the assigned official workstation two days per week (Tuesday and Wednesday). Additionally, the selected candidate must have a secure, safe and appropriate designated workspace that allows privacy and prevents distractions while performing the duties of this position, as well as secure and sufficient internet access of commercial cable or wireless broadband with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. Additional onsite work may be required. Remote work arrangements are subject to management approval and may be adjusted or discontinued at any time. Please note that remote work is not available if you reside outside of the State of Michigan.
