About This Role

We're looking for an early-career Manufacturing Engineer who is excited to turn new technology into reliable, repeatable production. In this role, you'll help design, develop, and build themanufacturing processes, tooling, and systems needed to move from development into production. You'll work closely with design engineers to improve safety, performance, cost, and manufacturability across parts, systems, and assemblies.

You'll be hands-on, including assembling hardware and test stands, troubleshooting issues, iterating quickly, and refining processes as designs mature. You'll also collaborate across disciplines to help build highly reliable, manufacturable systems at scale.

This is a strong opportunity for a recent graduate who enjoys working with real hardware, solving practical engineering problems, and seeing their work move from prototype to production. Your contributions will directly help improve how our technology is built and drive down the cost of enrichment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement scalable manufacturing processes to ensure reliable, safe systems.
  • Collaborate with design engineers and make recommendation for improved manufacturability, performance, safety, and cost.
  • Build, assemble, and validate prototypes, test stands, and development units.
  • Perform root-cause analysis on test failures and develop hardware mitigations.
  • Establish manufacturing and quality practices that scale with the company and through production phases.

Basic Qualifications
  • Evidence of exceptional ability (prior projects, portfolio of work, completed products, etc).
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, development, or production engineering.
  • Proficient in a 3D CAD package (such as Solidworks, CATIA, NX, etc.) and the ability to make manufacturing drawings using GD&T.
  • Hands-on experience building hardware.

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • Ability to perform trade studies and make clear recommendations using first principles and engineering fundamentals even with partial information.
  • Experience in a fast-paced engineering environment or a highly technical role requiring a resourceful, entrepreneurial approach to complete tasks within tight timeframes or budget constraints.
  • Experience with hardware in early development phases that transition to production.
  • Hands-on skills such as machining, welding, and assembly.

Additional Requirements
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
