Reporting to the Director, Continuous Improvement, you will lead the development, deployment, and sustainment of Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies and digital technologies across the manufacturing network. You will design, pilot, and scale SPC systems to reduce process variation, eliminate waste, and strengthen compliance with food safety, regulatory, and customer standards. You will build capability at the plant level by coaching and developing process experts and engineers within line structure teams.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement SPC strategy in partnership with the Director of Process Control, Manufacturing Excellence Team, and Technical Transformation Team, aligned with manufacturing goals
- Pilot and deploy SPC technology solutions and methodologies across multiple plants, ensuring scalability and sustainability
- Define and standardize SPC procedures, control plans, and governance across product categories
- Partner with site-based process experts and engineers to embed SPC principles into daily management systems and line structure routines
- Deliver training, workshops, and tools to strengthen SPC proficiency across all levels
- Mentor and guide technical teams to build a pipeline of SPC leaders and practitioners
- Analyze process data with Industrial Engineering teams to identify variation, waste, and yield loss, and lead structured problem solving to address root causes
- Partner with Manufacturing Excellence, Food Safety and Quality, Research and Development, Operations, and Engineering to integrate SPC into performance systems and standards
- Improve process capability indices and reduce defects across manufacturing operations
- Collaborate with Information Technology and Digital Operations to deploy digital tools, dashboards, and real-time monitoring systems
- Support development of data visualization and advanced analytics to enable predictive process control
- Stay current with advancements in SPC software, automation, and statistical techniques
- Ensure SPC practices support regulatory and quality requirements including Food and Drug Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, and Global Food Safety Initiative standards
- Maintain documentation, audit readiness, and reporting systems to demonstrate compliance and continuous improvement
- Represent SPC in cross-functional governance forums, customer audits, and regulatory inspections
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
- 7 or more years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or process engineering roles, with at least 3 years focused on SPC systems
- Experience implementing SPC in a large, multi-site, regulated environment
- Experience coaching technical teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with SPC methodologies including control charts, process capability analysis, measurement system analysis, and design of experiments
- Proficiency with SPC software and data analytics tools such as Minitab, JMP, InfinityQS, Power BI, and SQL
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Total Productive Maintenance, or similar continuous improvement systems
- Experience with change management and influencing in complex organizations
- Proven capability to translate technical concepts into practical applications for diverse audiences
- Experience building organizational capability and driving cultural adoption of process control practices
- Ability to travel. The typical travel requirement is 75% there will be occasional weeks when you will travel 50% Typical travel week will require travelling on Monday morning and returning home Thursday evening/night. Our team works from home on Fridays. Friday travel is not required unless there is a very unusual situation, which typically only happens once or twice a year.

Compensation Pay Range:$109,000-$159,000
The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee's actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees' equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
