The Manager, Smart Automation Services contributes to the overall success of Global HR Modernization by driving process optimization and automation initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, employee experience, and scalability across Global HR Solutions. The incumbent supports the development and execution of operational effectiveness strategies, leveraging data-driven insights, process improvement methodologies, and automation tools. They are responsible for evaluating existing processes, implementing improvements, and ensuring sustainable solutions aligned with business objectives. The incumbent ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen relationships and leverage broader Bank systems, tools, and insights
  • Partner with the Director and key stakeholders to assess processes and identify improvement opportunities across automation, redesign, and digital enablement
  • Translate process improvement recommendations into actionable plans with measurable outcomes and defined KPIs
  • Manage a portfolio of operational effectiveness initiatives end-to-end, including analysis, root cause identification, solution design, and implementation
  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement and a strong operational excellence culture across Global HR
  • Use data and analytics to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities, and design scalable automation or workflow solutions
  • Support implementation activities, including change management, training, and stakeholder communication
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, technology, and operations partners to deliver sustainable, scalable solutions
  • Promote a high-performance, inclusive work environment while aligning to the Bank's risk culture and control framework

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Data Science, Business (Operations), or Human Resources, or equivalent experience
  • Strong process improvement experience, including Lean or Six Sigma methodologies (designation considered an asset)
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capability, with experience working with complex data across multiple teams
  • Experience designing or supporting automation, workflow solutions, or data integrations using tools such as Power Platform, Alteryx, or Python/R
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, sustainable technical or process solutions in collaboration with technology partners
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into practical insights
  • Experience with project management principles; PMP designation considered an asset
  • Familiarity with HR processes, systems, or shared services environments is an asset, as is experience with advanced analytics or intelligent automation initiatives
