The Role

The Manager, Data Analytics supports the design, development and production of operational metrics, executive reporting, and management insights to drive performance and to measure and reduce operational risk across Global Wholesale Operations (GWO). The role will work closely with GWO's leaders and stakeholders across GBM and Enterprise Control Functions to prioritize and deliver GWO analytics & reports.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Working closely with GWO's SMEs to understand business needs, identify relevant data sources and apply analytical logic to transform counterparty data, trade volumes and operational metrics into management insights that support effective decision making.
  • Using Business Intelligence reporting tools (Power BI, SQL, SAS) to access GBM's Data Platform and other platforms to perform analysis, design, develop and publish insightful KRI and KPI dashboards & reports.
  • Collaborate with GWO partners and stakeholders to consolidate, streamline and improve existing reports to new standards, migrate reports and dashboards to Power BI to provide online interactive experiences.
  • Work closely with data warehouse and IT teams to develop and enhance analytical infrastructure, including databases, data assets and reporting tools, ensuring data enhancement initiatives are appropriately prioritized and delivered on time.
  • Effectively manage the insights required for GWO's strategic initiatives by aligning scope, coordinating delivery efforts and ensuring outcomes support business objectives.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen internal GWO relationships and leverage broader Bank resources, systems and knowledge; and
  • Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance or STEM preferred.
  • Wholesale Banking/ Capital Markets experience in operations, finance or risk management in an analytical role covering a wide range of product/ business areas.
  • Experience manipulating, reconciling and analyzing data using SQL, Python and Excel.
  • Expertise with Power BI is required.
  • Knowledge of best practice, as well as emerging trends in data visualization.
