The Manager, Capital Markets Stress Testing role sits within a growing risk management team focused on developing and enhancing stress testing frameworks for both market risk and counterparty credit risk. The role emphasizes analytical rigor, data-driven risk assessment, and clear communication of stress testing insights to support sound business decisions, regulatory requirements, and the Bank's overall risk appetite. The role is part of the Capital Markets Stress Testing and Data Analytics team, a cross-functional group at the center of market and counterparty credit risk, partnering closely with trading desks, model and regulatory teams, and other stakeholders to deliver robust stress testing, analytics, and methodologies that support capital adequacy, new business initiatives, and enterprise-wide stress testing programs.

  • Contribute to the development and execution of stress testing methodologies for capital markets exposures, including market risk and counterparty credit risk.
  • Partner with a broad set of stakeholders, including risk management and technology teams, to ensure stress testing outputs are accurate, relevant, and well understood.
  • Proactively identify issues related to data, models, or processes, and take initiative to investigate root causes and drive resolution.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain analytical tools and workflows using programming languages such as Python, SQL, or similar technologies.
  • Support regulatory and internal reporting requirements, with a strong focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Assist in strengthening data quality, model transparency, and supporting documentation.
  • Execute regular model runs to support enterprise-wide and subsidiary regulatory requirements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

  • Academic background in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Economics, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Data Science, or Mathematics)
  • A strong interest in risk, statistical modeling, research, and data visualization.
  • 1-2 years of experience in capital markets, with a solid understanding of finance, derivatives, market risk, and counterparty credit risk concepts.
  • Experience with programming languages and data analysis tools such as Python, SQL, Unix shell scripting, and Power BI, along with proficiency in the MS Office suite.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and sound judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented approach with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Proactive mindset characterized by curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to continuously learn and deepen technical expertise.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • High level of accountability and ownership over assigned work.
