Job Summary
The LNG Operator, Americas is responsible for the safe, efficient, and commercially optimized execution of LNG cargo operations across the North American and Americas LNG portfolio. This role serves as a critical interface between commercial, trading, shipping, terminal operators, vessel owners, regulators, and customers to ensure seamless cargo execution, regulatory compliance, and contractual performance.

The successful candidate will coordinate cargo scheduling, vessel nominations, terminal operations, documentation management, regulatory reporting, and stakeholder engagement while proactively identifying and resolving operational challenges in a dynamic commercial environment. The role requires strong LNG operational knowledge, marine logistics expertise, and the ability to coordinate activities across multiple time zones and stakeholder groups.

Position Overview

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Coordinate LNG cargo scheduling, nominations, vessel movements, and execution activities for North American LNG export operations.
  • Serve as the primary operational interface between commercial, trading, terminal, shipping, and regulatory stakeholders to support successful cargo deliveries and lifting programs.
  • Manage day-to-day LNG operational activities, including vessel nominations, berth scheduling, loading programs, and cargo documentation.
  • Monitor vessel readiness, ETA reporting, pre-arrival requirements, Certificates of Compliance (COC), Ship Shore Compatibility Studies (SSCS), quality vetting requirements, and terminal obligations.
  • Maintain and support rolling cargo schedules, annual delivery programs, and long-term cargo planning activities while ensuring alignment with contractual commitments and operational constraints.
  • Ensure timely completion of operational documentation, including customs filings, export declarations, regulatory reporting, surveyor documentation, and cargo records.
  • Verify LNG loading and discharge volumes, inventory positions, production data, and operational reports to ensure accuracy and contractual compliance.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks, marine constraints, weather impacts, and scheduling conflicts.
  • Ensure compliance with LNG Sale and Purchase Agreements (SPAs), transportation agreements, terminal use agreements, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies, including the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), U.S. Customs, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), and other applicable authorities.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate operational success and issue resolution.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, operational excellence programs, and the development of LNG operating procedures and manuals.
  • Participate in emergency response activities, after-hours operational support, and on-call coverage as required to support 24/7 LNG operations.
  • Support Keep, Trade, or Sell (KTS) origination and commercial activities through operational expertise and market insight.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of terminal operating procedures and facility-specific operating requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple global time zones.


Basic/Required Qualifications
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Maritime Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in LNG operations, marine operations, shipping, scheduling, terminal operations, or related energy logistics functions.
  • Experience supporting LNG cargo execution across export terminals, shipping providers, and commercial organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of LNG cargo operations, marine logistics, vessel scheduling, and terminal operations.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated understanding of LNG export facilities, marine interfaces, and vessel compatibility requirements.
  • Working knowledge of LNG commercial agreements and operational contract administration.
  • Familiarity with DOE reporting requirements, customs filings, maritime regulations, and related regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting operations at major U.S. LNG export terminals.
  • Experience with vessel nominations, berth scheduling, cargo planning, and annual delivery programs.
  • Knowledge of U.S. LNG export regulatory requirements, customs filings, DOE reporting, and marine compliance obligations.
  • Experience working directly with LNG traders, commercial teams, vessel owners, terminal operators, and regulatory agencies.
  • Experience developing LNG operating procedures, training materials, and operational manuals.
  • Start-up, commissioning, or operational readiness experience at LNG facilities.
  • Experience supporting global LNG markets and coordinating activities across multiple international time zones.
  • Fluency in written and spoken Spanish.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
