Title: Asst Dir-QA Engineer

Location: 400 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94105

Duties: Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Software Engineers, Software Architects, and other QA Engineers to develop and execute QA automation tests. Work cross functionally to understand new features, troubleshoot product issues, determine root cause, and identify solutions. Focus on projects regarding proprietary, on-demand lending software for credit analysis, pre- and post-approval stress testing, and ongoing management of loans. Follow the schedule in the project/incident tracking system, including awareness of goal dates, proactive communication, and clear documentation of the progress of an item. Assist with testing end-to-end business applications using the Microsoft .NET platform, with a primary emphasis on browser-based applications. Understand and experience in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) processes. Plan Automation in the early stages of SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle). Assist Software Developers with the implementation of test automation frameworks. Define QA standards and guide team members to comply with these standards. Mentor, assist, and provide guidance to less senior team members from a technical /business domain perspective. Work with QA Architects to continuously improve engineering practices. Document time associated with each assigned task in accordance with company standards and other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field plus three (3) years of experience as a QA Engineer/Analyst or Test Engineer, or in a related position performing manual and automated test engineering. Must have experience with the following: performing manual and automated test engineering; requirements analysis, test planning, strategy and execution, defect tracking, UI quality assurance testing, and release support; applying knowledge of financial risk analytics to develop edge and negative test scenarios; utilizing agile processes, including SCRUM, and Continuous Build and Integration; working with QA methodologies, including test plan management using Jira or similar tools, publishing test reports, and maintaining QA metrics; using Jenkins for deployment and working with web-based technology architecture and data structures.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $138,445 to $202,800/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
