Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Network Architecture & Operations: Design, deploy, and support scalable LAN/WAN, private/public cloud, hybrid data center, and Kubernetes networking solutions.
Network Automation & IaC: Provision, configure, and manage network infrastructure using Terraform and version-controlled CI/CD workflows.
Multi-Cloud Networking: Deploy and operate Aviatrix architectures across AWS, Azure, and GCP (Controller, Transit/Spoke Gateways, traffic inspection, and secure segmentation).
Monitoring & Observability: Lead the migration from SolarWinds to Zabbix + Grafana; design actionable dashboards, alerts, thresholds, and capacity management reporting.
Infrastructure & Security: Manage routers, switches (Cisco Nexus spine-leaf), firewalls, load balancers (F5), VPNs, DDI/IPAM, and network security policies.
Troubleshooting & On-Call: Perform root-cause analysis for complex outages and performance issues; participate in a 24x7 production support rotation.
Technical Leadership: Maintain network documentation, architecture standards, and DR plans; collaborate across cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering (or equivalent experience) with 7+ years in network engineering, including 3+ years in complex enterprise/cloud/data center environments.
Certifications: CCNP required; CCIE preferred.
Automation & IaC: 2+ years of automation using Python, Ansible, or Go, combined with hands-on Terraform experience.
Multi-Cloud & SDN: Hands-on experience with Aviatrix Cloud Network Platform, SDN controllers, and cloud-native networking across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Routing, Switching & Security: Deep knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, spine-leaf architectures (Cisco Nexus N9K), F5 LTM/GTM, firewalls, and VPNs.
Container Networking: Expertise in Kubernetes CNI plugins (Calico, Cilium), network policies, and service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).
Monitoring & Analytics: Proven experience with Zabbix, Grafana integration, telemetry (SNMP, NetFlow), and enterprise monitoring migrations.
