Full Job Description
The Lead Data Engineer will provide technical leadership in the design, development, and optimization of scalable data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, data solutions, and data platforms. This role leads complex initiatives, guides technical decision-making, mentors engineers, and ensures secure, reliable, properly governed data solutions that align with enterprise and architectural standards. The Lead Data Engineer also serves as an escalation point for complex data engineering challenges.

What you will do:
  • Lead the design and implementation of advanced data pipelines and ingestion frameworks.
  • Guide technical execution of complex data initiatives across teams.
  • Translate highly complex business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • Ensure data platforms are optimized for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Enforce data governance, security, and quality standards.
  • Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership on projects.
  • Lead code reviews and ensure adherence to engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to align solutions with enterprise direction.
  • Drive improvements in automation, efficiency, and platform capabilities.
  • Support architectural discussions and contribute to design decisions.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 6 to 8+ years of data engineering experience with enterprise scale platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Strong experience with AWS and modern data platforms.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers.

Base Salary Range
$125,400.00 - $181,875.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
