Job Description:

HOW A DATA MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
  • Senior expert responsible for leading enterprise data management, controlled repositories, and mission-critical document library operations in the customer-focused environment.
  • Provides strategic direction, technical oversight, and stewardship of sensitive data across distributed systems.
  • Responsibilities include directing data library governance, digitization strategy, structured records management, data quality, and enterprise analytics.
  • Supports decision-making for customer leadership, ensures data accuracy and protection, and drives improvements across enterprise processes.
  • Success requires advanced attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to guide complex, high-visibility mission priorities.


Responsibilities:

Data Library & Controlled Repository Services
  • Lead design and oversight of structured program libraries supporting sensitive information.
  • Establish access, lifecycle, and security standards for controlled repositories.
  • Oversee version control, document structure, and compliance with Sponsor formats.
  • Direct controlled document releases and CDRL submissions.
  • Maintain secure repositories, SharePoint libraries, and archival systems.
  • Serve as senior contact for controlled data requests, audits, updates, and issue resolution.


Digitization Services & Records Management
  • Define SOPs and standards for digitization, records management, and data processing.
  • Manage curation and integrity of classified and unclassified repositories.
  • Oversee preparation and digitization of physical and digital records.
  • Ensure barcoded tracking, workflow identifiers, and traceable digitization processes.
  • Lead 100% quality-control checks for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain tracking databases and direct metadata capture supporting discoverability and compliance.


Data Management & Operational Insights
  • Analyze lifecycle, compliance, and technical datasets for enterprise reporting.
  • Develop dashboards, metrics, and visualizations for Sponsor leadership.
  • Oversee validated datasets supporting forecasting, modernization, and risk assessments.
  • Identify systemic risks, trends, non-compliance indicators, and process gaps.
  • Lead improvements to automation, data quality, validation, and reporting workflows.
  • Provide senior expertise in data governance, integrity, and structured data best practices.
  • Drive Sponsor-level enhancements to data management and enterprise compliance.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, data, engineering, library science, management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience: 8+ years of experience in data management, repositories, structured records, governance, or accreditation.
  • Required skills:
  • Demonstrated leadership in controlled repositories or structured data environments.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • US citizenship required.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • CDMP or NARA Records Management Certification
  • Experience with controlled repositories, data libraries, and CDRL submissions.
  • Experience with JIRA, SharePoint, ServiceNow, or similar tools.
  • Experience leading standards development and enterprise data process improvement.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
