Position Summary:The Junior Network Engineer is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the firm's network infrastructure and cloud environment. This role assists with configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining both on-premises and cloud-based systems to ensure reliable connectivity, security, and performance.
The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of networking technologies and cloud platforms, along with a strong interest in infrastructure, cloud computing, automation, and cybersecurity.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Assist with the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Support cloud infrastructure administration across Microsoft Azure
- Monitor network and cloud environments to ensure system availability, performance, and security
- Troubleshoot connectivity, VPN, DNS, routing, and cloud-related issues
- Participate in cloud migration and infrastructure modernization projects
- Perform routine system updates, backups, patching, and maintenance tasks
- Document network configurations, cloud resources, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with senior engineers and IT teams on infrastructure projects and issue resolution
- Support security best practices, including firewall policies, MFA, and monitoring
- Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, Cloud Computing, or related field
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and routing/switching
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems
- Understanding of basic cybersecurity and cloud security concepts
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrates adaptability to shifting priorities and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with hardware from vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto, or Fortinet.
Preferred Qualifications: - Hands-on experience in networking, cloud support, or IT infrastructure

- CompTIA Network+
- CompTIA Cloud+
- AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Cisco CCNA

The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
