Full Job Description
We are seeking a Project ManagerUS Capitol Police (USCP) Information Resource Management Division (IRMD) Support program. This project will provide project management, business, administrative, and records management support for the USCP's Office of Information Services (OIS), primarily supporting the IRMD. This is a full-time position based in Washington, DC, supporting USCP onsite a minimum of two days per week, with up to three days of telework after an initial two-month full-onsite acclimation period. Normal working hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

So, what will the Project Manager at Terrestris do?

The Project Manager will support the USCP IRMD Support contract, providing IT project management support for up to 10 projects of varying size and complexity. This position is contingent upon contract award.

What does a typical day look like for a Project Manager?

You will:
  • Work with USCP OIS staff to ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Define project scope and objectives with stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation (e.g., plans, requirements, communications, agendas).
  • Identifying and tracking risks/issues to resolution.
  • Managing approved changes to scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Reporting project status to management, staff, and stakeholders.
  • Applying project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, or Waterfall) as appropriate.
  • Monitoring project performance using standard tools (e.g., MS Project, Teams (Planner / Planner Premium), SharePoint, ServiceNow, and/or another notable PPM Dashboard experience.
  • Supporting PMO activities by coordinating with groups on internal reviews and tracking completion of findings.

What qualifications do you look for?

  • Ability to successfully complete a USCP criminal history check and fingerprinting process and qualify for a USCP identification/access badge is required.
  • Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing IT projects of varying size and complexity, including enterprise-level initiatives.

Certifications:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification(required).
  • Agile certification (required) such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), or Professional ScrumMaster (PSM).
