b SummaryThe IT Project Manager II is responsible for managing technology projects and operational services throughout the project lifecycle. This role focuses primarily on Project Management (75%), with additional Business Analysis responsibilities (25%).
The position will provide Scrum leadership, resource management, budget oversight, operational support, and coordination across onsite and offshore technical teams. The ideal candidate will be able to translate business requirements into actionable technical objectives, manage competing priorities, and independently drive issues through resolution while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities - Develop, track, and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, scope, resources, and deliverables.
- Lead Scrum activities and coordinate technical teams to ensure project objectives and delivery timelines are met.
- Manage project resources, including staffing, coaching, motivating, and providing guidance to team members.
- Partner with functional project teams and business stakeholders to define and document business requirements.
- Bridge communication between business, technical, and and operational teams.
- Lead development teams in delivering high-quality technology and business application solutions.
- Define test plans and ensure solutions meet quality standards prior to User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Facilitate UAT activities and develop implementation and rollout plans.
- Support online and batch operations within Production and UAT environments.
- Manage change management, release management, implementation planning, operational support, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare and present project status updates, cost-benefit analyses, and other information to steering committees and project sponsors.
- Ensure appropriate systems development and project management methodologies and processes are followed.
- Support operational governance activities, including risk assessments, audit documentation, recovery planning, and operational controls.
- Identify and manage project and operational risks and drive issues through resolution.
- Coordinate and align onsite and offshore resources across a distributed team.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
- Work independently when required while collaborating effectively with the broader team.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2-4 years of proven project management experience.
- Strong understanding of Project Management and Operations Management.
- Experience with Scrum leadership, resource management, and budget oversight.
- Business Analyst capabilities with the ability to understand business requirements and translate them effectively between business and technical teams.
- Experience delivering technology and business application solutions within large-scale, multi-platform systems environments.
- Strong proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Working knowledge of Python.
- Experience or proficiency working with AI tools/technologies.
- Strong people management, team-building, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications, products, and business functions.
- Ability to quickly learn business processes and effectively engage stakeholders at different organizational levels.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business environments.
- Ability to independently take ownership of issues and drive them through successful resolution.

eferred Qualifications - MBA or other relevant advanced degree.
- Reinsurance industry knowledge or experience.
- Risk management knowledge and/or experience.
- Familiarity with operational governance artifacts, including risk assessments, audit documentation, recovery planning, and operational controls.
Ce
rtifications - PMP or PMI certification is preferred.
