Primary Function The IT Audio Visual (AV) Specialist will provide dedicated IT support to the Audio Visual and Broadcast team, bridging IT and AV disciplines to ensure secure, reliable, and optimized infrastructure. This role supports mission-critical AV operations, engineering, media asset management, and broadcast environments. The Specialist will work closely with AV engineers, the Creative Technologist, IT Security teams, and AV/IT project engineers to strengthen system resilience, manage vulnerabilities, and enable seamless collaboration technologies.
In addition, the Specialist will work in close partnership with the AV IT Engineer, providing regular status updates and maintaining clear communication regarding ongoing activities, operational issues, project efforts, system changes, and technology initiatives. This role is expected to keep the AV IT Engineer informed of all work being performed, escalate concerns as appropriate, and ensure alignment with established AV and IT strategies, standards, and objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities - Partner with AV IT Engineer to support AV networking requirements; AV engineers provide guidance on changes and configurations (e.g., routing, NATing, firewall rules).
- Identify sources of IT problems that affect AV system performance and provide technical expertise to resolve problems in coordination with CSF AV IT Engineer and IT department.
- Support the maintenance of PCs used for AV control systems and applications, maintain accurate asset inventory records, assist with hardware refresh activities, replace malfunctioning systems when directed, and ensure required software is installed and functioning properly.
- Provide day-to-day administration and support for AV applications, including applying approved updates and patches, managing user accounts and credentials, and escalating issues as needed.
- Provide technical guidance on AV system traffic flows, ports, protocols, and connectivity requirements to support internal network engineering teams during the implementation or modification of static routes, ACLs, and security controls.
- Coordinate with the Certificate Authority (CA) to manage, renew, and maintain digital certificates for AV systems and associated infrastructure.
- Identify, track, and mitigate vulnerabilities across AV and broadcast systems. Work with manufacturers and IT security teams to implement remediation strategies. Ensure compliance with enterprise IT security standards, proactively closing risks. Apply and validate security patches for AV/IT devices to maintain compliance.
- Manage and comply with Information Technology security standards and policy.
- Support the Creative Technologist in monitoring MAM workflows to ensure reliable media processing, and configure and maintain Vantage machines, workflows, and access servers. Support Lightspeed, Caption Box, and Media Asset Manager (MAM) servers, including configuration, updates, and service restarts.
- Manage Crestron Fusion virtual machines and servers, including device enrollment and configuration. Support Biamp SageVue for device onboarding, DNS management, and IP assignments.
- Occasionally perform duties outside of regular business hours, including evenings and weekends, as maintenance windows and workload demands.
- Research and analyze best-in-class technical practices across the industry; assist the team in designing approaches for AI, updating frameworks and protocols for engagement.

Skills & Qualifications - Familiarity with AV platforms including Taiden, Crestron, Biamp, streaming servers, and MAM systems.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management processes and IT security best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Working knowledge of hybrid expertise in IT and AV technologies preferred.

Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in IT systems, networking, or AV/IT integration.
- Hands-on experience with server configuration, virtualization, and workflow management tools.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, ACLs, multicast/broadcast, and firewall management.
